Quanah Parker Park is a long narrow park dedicated to the son of Comanche chief Peta Nocona and European American woman Cynthia Ann Parker as well as the last chief of the Quahadi Comanche Indians. The West Fork of the Trinity River also flows through Quanah Parker Park. Bikers will enjoy the concrete bike trail that wraps around the park leading off half and a mile away to Gateway Park.

Gateway Park will be one of the largest urban-programmed parks in the country. Covering over 1,000 acres, park amenities will include a dog park, baseball fields, soccer fields, disc golf course, biking trails, scenic river overlooks, and Gateway East trailhead.

Within the borders of East Fort Worth are four municipal golf courses including Meadowbrook Golf Course, an 18-hole regulation facility. This golf course is considered one of the top 25 municipal golf courses in Texas. The busy course is open all-year-round, thanks to the favorable Texas weather.
