According to the Texas Education Agency, there were many schools in the Dallas area that ranked highly during the 2010-2011 school year, based on the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) guidelines. Two school districts that received “exemplary” ratings based on the TAKS were: the Highland Park ISD and the Lovejoy ISD. The other high-ranking schools, according the TAKS guidelines during this time were: the Sunnyvale ISD, the Carroll ISD, the Frisco ISD, the Coppell ISD, the Allen ISD, the Argyle ISD, the Prosper ISD and the Lewisville ISD.
