DFW has jobs aplenty and stable business and housing markets. It draws artists and entrepreneurs, families and singles, city folk and nature lovers who stay because the economy is just plain good.

Dallas has more restaurants per capita than even New York. There’s everything from comfort food to eclectic Middle Eastern cuisine.
It Has the State Fair
The State Fair of Texas is big even for Texas, and not just because of Big Tex. The full-scale auto show is just one part of an epic month that includes concerts, food, and college football. You Could Meet a Lot of Celebrities Most name acts in the music industry make Dallas a regular stop. Hollywood loves making movies here too. It’s not uncommon at all to see famous people downtown.

DFW is a main hub of jazz and blues, but especially on weekends, it’s a packed with concerts, from the symphony to small-venue alt-rock shows. Whatever your musical tastes, you’ll find it here.
‘Farm Fresh’ Isn’t Just Something to Say
In the cities, farmers markets bustle, but outside the cities and suburbs, North Texas is mostly farmland. You’ll have trouble finding a place with fresher food that comes from within an hour’s drive every day of the year.
Sports, Baby
You can’t take sports out of North Texas, and no one would let you if you tried. Major and minor league teams abound, college football is abundant, and you will definitely make friends if you’re a fan of any of the teams.
Schools
North Texas has some of the best schools in the country, and some of our school districts’ alumni have gone on to be major names in business, politics, sports, and entertainment.
