Munger Place Homes for Sale

All of the Munger Place real estate listings stand on land with a very rich history. The place was established more than a century ago (1905 to be exact) by a man named Robert Munger, who manufactured cotton gin. It was one of the earliest suburbs and one of the first deed-restricted villages in the city and in the state.

Today, the real estate listings in the area still have a hint of the past glory of the area. Munger Place homes for sale are much smaller than the mansions that used to stand on it during its peak, but they are just as beautiful. Furthermore, this community is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. If those things do not make the homes for sale in Munger Place appealing enough for you, we do not know what will.

Neighborhood Amenities

Deed restrictions require architects to design every home, along with height and setback restrictions. In 1973, residents of Swiss Avenue and Munger Place initiated the preservation movement in Dallas by making Swiss Avenue the city's first historic district. The much sought after Dallas ISD schools mean Munger Place is tops on the list for residents with kids. Children in the neighborhood can attend Geneva Heights Elementary which feeds into Long Middle School.

Things to Do In Dallas

Munger Place is located in the heart of Dallas’s historic districts which provide access to a plethora of restaurants and shopping. Driving around Dallas can be a breeze if you plan around rush hour. Better still, hail a cab and let the driver do all the legwork. There're several ride sharing options to help you move around including Lyft, Uber, Wingz, and GetMe.

Or you can hop on the Orange Line anywhere along the line for a ride to and from DFW Airport, Downtown, Uptown, Deep Ellum, the Arts District, and Fair Park. Better yet, take advantage of free transportation options throughout the city. Jump on a free trolley ride from Uptown to Downtown in the vintage McKinney Avenue Trolley which dates back to 1909.

Whether you're looking to save money, shop local, or find unique goods, a farmers market is the perfect place for all three. For your weekly groceries, get out, soak up the sun, and stroll around a farmers market. The Dallas Farmers Market is the central hub for farmers to bring their farm produce. The combination of food entrepreneurs alongside farmers and ranchers gives the market a taste of diverse Texas flavors and cultures. The market opens daily with an array of eateries and shops.
