Neighborhood Housing Services (NHS) of San Antonio has recently been selected to participate in a national green building pilot program called the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, or LEEDS for Homes, program.

Green Design Solutions NHS has begun working with the US Green Building Council Program to help establish national standards for green building. NHS is therefore incorporating design solutions in an effort to create more energy efficient homes that have a lower, environmental impact.

NHS is now currently building several homes at Green Building II level and is building the first LEEDS for Homes certified home project at Mira Vista.
