Realtor Burnout

Burnout

Sales are slow, attitudes are hot, and the summer heat in Dallas is not helping. The phone doesn’t ring no matter how long you sit desk duty. You are frustrated, tired of fighting for every scrap of commission and you are really thinking a nice job at McDonalds could be just the thing for you.

You are burned out. The fire in your belly to sell has gone to ashes. It’s time to rethink what you really want to be doing, right?

Yes, actually it is. If you are usually gratified by your career in Dallas Real Estate, then maybe you need a break to refocus yourself. Take some time away from the desk and the lack of business to get your perspective back. Trying to solider through when your mind has gone crisp is a sure way to find yourself asking ‘you want fries with that?’

Burnout happens in a lot of careers where pressure can be intense and can be very unpredictable, so you are not alone. Look at your overall goals, your overall job satisfaction and really take the time to rest for a few days. Even a break of just a couple of days can make all the difference in your attitude and the attitude of those around you.
