Monday, March 24th, 2008

The historic town of Grapevine not only has all of the necessary elements to be a great tourist destination, but it is the perfect place for north Texas residents to head for a weekend escape. Just seven miles from the Dallas/Fort Worth airport and located right between the two cities, Grapevine is perfectly situated as a weekend escape from the city.

Commercial Development in Colleyville Spurred by Residential Growth

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008

Colleyville is just one of many north Texas communities bolstered by steady job growth as more and more major corporations relocate to the area. As a result, not only has Colleyville residential real estate maintained its values while the rest of the country is floundering, but Colleyville commercial real estate has been bolstered as well.

Many mixed-use projects are planned for the area, which will combine residential, retail, and entertainment all in one convenient location.

The Village at Colleyville Set to Expand

One such project that will be growing over the next year to year and a half is The Village at Colleyville. This already impressive mixed-use development at the intersection of State Highway 26 and Main Street has plans to build out to the edge of the highway. The addition of two new buildings will substantially add to the 300,000 square feet already being occupied by the Village. Upon completion, the entire project will be twice its current size.

In addition to a new restaurant building, there are plans for another 45,000 square foot building that will include 30 condos, built above retail space. The addition of these smaller condos will provide a more affordable option to those seeking Colleyville real estate. These homes will be in the 1,200 square foot range and will carry a substantially lower price tag than the units previously available in the Village.

Construction of the next phase of the Village will begin in spring, 2008 and is expected to take approximately one year to complete.

One of the Best Prank Calls Ever

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008

Since its not always about Texas Real Estate, I decided we could all use a good laugh. :) The video below is a Youtube video of a telemarketer. Unbeknownst to the telemarketer, a radio show recorded the phone call in which the callee set up the telemarketer by telling him he called into a murder investigation in progress. This has to be one of the best prank calls ever!
