New Trendy Part of Dallas Real Estate

Dallas Texas real estate has experienced many positive changes in both the commercial and the residential sectors. For example, Henderson Avenue has become home to new retail space and housing.

In the past, Henderson Avenue was just the forgotten about cousin of trendier Know Street. Now, several blocks of Henderson Avenue are being redeveloped by a local commercial real estate firm.

Andres Properties representative Marc Andres said, “This didn’t happen overnight. It has happened 50 feet at a time.” Henderson Street is experiencing a mass rehab as teardowns, new bars and restaurants are quickly spreading, consuming the many blocks.

Andres Properties first started investing in the eastside of the city in 1956. Roger Andres, the broth of Mark Andres commented, “We’re happy that Dad started his business on Henderson instead of on Fitzhugh. What’s happening over here is very natural and organic. People who understand it are spreading the word.”

Mr. Galvan, owner of Café San Miguel on Henderson commented, “When we got here, there was not much going on. Now, people are really coming to this end of Henderson. And the condominiums and apartments they will be building should help everybody.”

Phoenix Property Company has plans in the works to build 24 townhome units in the area. There is so much construction going on in East Dallas that it seems as if the whole area will be redeveloped. A lot of single buyers and young couples have relocated to this trendy, enticing neighborhood.

Mr. Canelakes, a proprietor of a family restaurant and bar said, “We are going to keep selling pizza and drinks on this corner for the rest of our lives.”

The prospects are good for the East Dallas Texas real estate market.

I love to see the changes that are happening in Dallas. We see new growth constantly in Far North Dallas which is exciting but nothing like seeing older parts of Dallas revitalized.

I think the hottest area is still downtown Dallas.

I’m with you on that Trey. I actually like the downtown area the best. However, Highland Park is always nice too.
