Despite the economic difficulties affecting the country, the Dallas/Fort Worth Metropolitan area continues to flourish. The region offers some of the best residential housing values in the U.S. and a ready availability of well paying jobs for the career minded. Research indicates that over six million new residents will populate the Metroplex area over the next two decades and nearly three million new housing units will be added.
Furthermore, it is expected that some 70,000 jobs will be added annually at least through 2009. Currently, the average price of a four bedroom, 2,200 square feet, two-and-a-half bath pre-owned single family home, with family room and two car garage in Dallas is $302,198. Although lower in price than most similar homes in quality neighborhoods of major cities, which average prices of over $400,000, Dallas is still more expensive than Fort Worth, where the same home
