One of many reason for extraordinary growth in Allen is the Allen ISD.  Allen ISD had eight campuses which rated exemplary last year.  Enrollment has more than doubled in the past 17 years, to nearly 16,000. According to the district an increase of about 9 percent a year over the next 10 years is projected.
